While waiting, an older person may first move into a private home. This will not affect their position on the Central Waiting List (CWL).
Depending on the situation, the applicant may set the application as a “non-active case”. Common examples include:
- The older person has moved into a private home
- The older person is temporarily staying in the community to receive care
The application can be reactivated at any time later. After reactivation, the queue position is calculated based on the original application date, so the applicant does not need to queue again from the start.
