We may collect information you provide through our matching wizard, enquiry forms, calls, messages, or other communications. This may include your name, phone number, email address, care needs, care preferences, preferred district, budget range, timing, and notes about the person who may need residential care. We may also collect technical and usage data such as device information, browser type, pages visited, referring pages, approximate interaction timestamps, and cookie or analytics identifiers.
We collect and use personal data to respond to enquiries, understand care requirements, shortlist potentially suitable elderly homes, arrange referrals or follow-up conversations, operate and improve the website, maintain service records, prevent misuse, comply with legal or regulatory obligations, and handle questions, complaints, or requests about personal data.
Where you ask us to help with matching or referral, we may pass relevant lead details to elderly-home operators, care-home groups, or their authorised staff so they can assess availability, suitability, pricing, viewing arrangements, or admission steps. We may also share data with service providers who support hosting, analytics, communications, customer support, security, professional advice, or legal compliance. We do not sell personal data.
We will only use your personal data for direct marketing if we have obtained your explicit opt-in consent as required by the PDPO. Direct marketing may include updates about elderly-care services, referral support, or related information from Elderly Home. You may opt out at any time by contacting hello@elderlyhome.hk or following the unsubscribe instructions in our messages.
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, including follow-up, service records, dispute handling, legal compliance, and business administration. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss, or use, while recognising that no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Under Data Protection Principle 6 and other applicable PDPO provisions, you may request access to personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct inaccurate personal data.
